Junior End of Grade Summative Reflection

Over the course of this semester, there has been a reduction in stress concerning the lack in need for a literature review for science fair as well as a lack in need for an Oral Defense which ultimately allowed for the focus of resources in other areas such as volunteering for BETA club and taking of AP courses. Though STEM has continued to be challenging and engaging in the initial PLTW course of the year and in the continued efforts towards science fair. In such case, science fair had proven to have a toll due to the heated and humid conditions that led to reduced sleep and reduced productivity. The greatest challenge of the primary semester was the incorporation of work and extracurricular activities simultaneously. Within the later semester, the work had some greater difficulties in some areas and lesser difficulties in others of which it seems my focus and drive had depleted to an extent though not entirely. Specifically, I have tried to become more efficient in my work in reducing quality shorter time spent performing which has proven to be beneficial in some areas specifically including ELA and Social Studies. However, I retain the belief that STEM is relevant to career fields I wish to pursue so as to aid the well-being of the world in the Medical Interventions course. As for the participation in STEM events, I much prefer the venture to the CDC museum in the knowledge gained decerning cases of diseases, treatment for such, identification of such, etc. In the social conditions of STEM, there has been the maintenance of a strong work ethic and drive among my class, though it should also be noted that some others have greater social tendencies which seems to keep up morale though slightly distracting. Further, I myself have determined it rewarding to communicate with peers over this year though slightly confusing and disorienting from focus on work in excess. It is for this reason that I anneal to my previous understanding that future STEM students should be hardworking and enjoy the medical content before them but also be able to cooperate and for bonds with their peers so as to act as a sure hold for their desires.
