​1. Jason Peirce
Jason Pierce is a regional manager.  In this role, he oversees 14 locations that rent out cleaning equipment.  His primary responsibility is to ensure that each of his 14 locations has the support they need in order to be successful.  He primarily does this through the 14 managers that he leads and supports at each location to ensure their success. 
 
 STEM has made an impact in Jason's business in multiple forms. For example, as a leader Jason regularly uses discoveries from the social and psychological sciences to inform himself how he should lead and communicates with his team on how they should lead in addition to information on how their locations are fairing.  He also uses math daily to measure and mange his business from a financial perspective. Specifically, math helps him understand the total profit and loss statement using the ones from each location as well as create budget projections.  Last, he mentioned the use of technology in his day-to-day routine.  Because his region is from Baltimore to Atlanta, it is hard for him to be in the different places all at one time.  Technology helps him conduct virtual meetings, run business analysis and reports, manage payroll, check orders, etc.   

2. Susann
Susann is a Director of Information Technology Business Administrations for SiteOne Landscapes Supplies. This intitles her to manage a team of IT workers, which record and analyze information on how different supplies are sold/rented out to customers to identify which supplies will be needed to be restocked in greater or lower amounts. 

STEM is used routinely in Susann's line of work in two reoccurring forms. Preceding the effects of Covid-19 on business and the world in total, Information Technology has developed to have increased functionality in remote settings through digital workspaces and communications such as Zoom. Susann has used this technology to communicate with the team she manages on their work and make connections in order to motivate her IT team. Additionally, technology has been used to better organize information on sales and view reassurances between the sales of different products and other factors. IT workers and managers require the use of math in their job since it considers the amount and price of differing products as well as different social or environmental factors and use it in order to identify trends in these factors and increase the stock of what the store will be more likely to sell within a budget.
